Installation begins with proper excavation and preparation of the pond area according to the planned dimensions and slopes. The subgrade should be smooth, stable, and free from sharp rocks, roots, debris, and other objects that could puncture or damage the liner. Where necessary, a protective geotextile layer can be placed beneath the membrane. The RPE liner is then carefully positioned over the prepared surface, ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate allowances at edges and joints. Depending on the liner system, seams may be joined using suitable thermal welding equipment to create continuous, watertight connections. Edges should be securely anchored, and the completed installation should be inspected before filling the pond.
